Two Rivers Public Charter School
The mission of Two Rivers Public Charter School is to nurture a diverse group of students to become lifelong, active participants in their own education, develop a sense of self and community, and become responsible and compassionate members of society. Two Rivers serves 260 students in preschool - 6th grade, and will continue to add a grade each year, eventually serving students through the eighth grade. A parent-founded and community-supported public charter school, Two Rivers provides students across the city with a vibrant educational environment where students and staff become a community of learners on a journey of discovery. Two Rivers offers an interactive, project-based instructional model, Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound, complemented by an extensive arts program, emphasis on literacy, and a Spanish program. The school focuses on the whole child, recognizing the importance of character education and the social-emotional needs of children while helping them achieve academic excellence.
