Nia Community Public Charter School (NCPCS), located in the East of the River quadrant of the District of Columbia, strives to provide a nurturing, community-centered environment by offering a rigorous, comprehensive academic program. NCPCS offers a unique extended day program that has been designed to satisfy the holistic needs of our students. NCPCS's mission includes providing students with a comprehensive curriculum that propels them into a life-long commitment to self-empowerment, educational excellence, cultural awareness, and community service. Nia will offer instruction to students in grades Pre-k through grade 3 in its first year. Each year after, one grade level will be added through grade 8. The D.C. Public Charter School Board approved Nia Community Public Charter School in 2006.
