Hyde Leadership Public Charter School is Pre K-12 college preparatory school committed to developing socially responsible leaders who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and personal integrity necessary for life and leadership in the 21st century. For this reason we have worked hard to develop a high quality, comprehensive, school program rooted in the three pillars of character education, family renewal, and academic rigor. At the core of Hyde's work with our students and families is the belief that each of us is gifted with a unique potential that defines a destiny. It is around this core belief that we have shaped our program goals and objectives.

Our focus on character development and family education is a critical element in our success. We have created a school community that seeks challenge and opportunity, where our families feel like partners in the pursuit of their sons' and daughters' academic success and character development. Our parents understand that they are the primary teachers and that their home is the primary classroom in their children's lives. Hyde Leadership Academy Public Charter School was chartered by the DC Board of Education in 1998.
