Tom Nida, Chair
Senior Vice President at United Bank. With more than thirty-seven years of experience in banking and finance, he is an author and speaker on charter school lending and a University lecturer on business and finance.

Anthony J. Colón, Vice Chair
Education Reform Activist and Consultant. Mr. Colón has been instrumental in bringing school choice to the Hispanic community and increasing recruitment and professional development opportunities for minority educators. He has extensive experience designing and implementing cutting-edge education programs that target special needs and underserved students.

Karl Jentoft
Mr. Jentoft is currently the founder of City Living Ventures, a DC-based real estate development and consulting company. Prior to this position, he was an executive at Capital One and at McKinsey & Company, and served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force. Before joining the PCSB, he was a founding board member of Capital City PCS, served on the boards of E. L. Haynes PCS and Friends of Choice in Urban Schools, and was a member of the D.C. Public Charter School Credit Enhancement Fund Committee.

Brian W. Jones
Executive Vice President and General Counsel of College Loan Corporation (CLC). Prior to joining CLC, Mr. Jones served as the U.S. Department of Education’s General Counsel. He was also president of the Center for New Black Leadership (CNBL) a national public policy think tank in Washington, DC.

Dr. Dora Marcus
Consults on educational evaluation projects for several national organizations. Dr. Marcus has advised several DC community groups and non-profits on evaluation research and has taught methods of evaluation in US universities and abroad, and regularly writes on evaluation issues and strategies.

Will Marshall
President and Founder of Progressive Policy Institute. A public policy analyst, and author, Mr. Marshall is the co-founder of the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) and editor-at-large of Blueprint Magazine, the DLC's journal of politics and policy.

Lawrence C. Patrick, III
Director, Business Development and Strategy for Jazz at Lincoln Center. Mr. Patrick oversees strategy for new media, content distribution, intellectual property, and corporate partnerships for the jazz world’s largest organization. Formerly President & CEO of Black Alliance for Educational Options, and the former chairman of the Charter School Leadership Council, he serves on the Boards of the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy, the National Charter Schools Institute, and Inspire USA.

Josephine Baker - Executive Director
Directs staff operations; liaisons with the D.C. Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), the U.S. Department of Education, and local and national government officials; reports to the Board on charter school policy and other administrative matters.

Oversees charter school financial accountability and manages the Board's budget and accountability.

Nona Richardson - Communications Manager
Oversees and facilitates communications between the Board and the charter school community, community members, government agencies, researchers, and the media.
