Washington, D.C. —
The DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB) has cancelled the Public Hearing
scheduled for Friday September 7, at 5:30pm.
The public hearing would have allowed for comments on a pilot program to
bring its Performance Management Framework (PMF) accountability measure to 35
charter school early childhood programs. PCSB expedited the public comment
timeline to ensure that the Early Childhood
Performance Management Framework pilot can go into effect for this school
year.
The Board had also planned to accept public comments on its 15-year renewal
guidelines for schools with charters that are set to expire during the
2012-2013 school year.
PCSB also expedited
the public comment timeline to ensure that the charter renewal guidelines go
into effect for this school year.
Persons wishing to testify at the public hearing were
required to sign up 24 hours in advance and no individuals did so.
The period for submitted written public comment on both
policies remains open until Friday September 7.
To submit written comments please email Audrey
Williams, awilliams@dcpcsb.org, or
mail them to DC Public Charter School Board, 3333 14th Street, NW, Suite 210,
