The U.S. Department of Education has just announced the 2012 Charter School Program Exemplary Collaboration Awards competition, a new grant program for which applications are due August 29, 2012. This provides $500,000 in cash awards for the best examples in the nation of collaboration between charter schools and traditional district schools.
